Misha Sharp is the Assistant Director of Policy at the 32BJ Health Fund, one of the nation’s largest self-insured union health funds, serving more than 200,000 members and their families across multiple states. In her role, she leads policy initiatives aimed at improving healthcare affordability, increasing hospital accountability, and advancing sustainable benefit design for working families. Her work focuses on addressing rising hospital prices and reducing healthcare cost burdens through policy reform, legislative advocacy, and strategic purchasing innovations.

Sharp has been instrumental in advancing landmark healthcare affordability policies, including legislation targeting anticompetitive hospital contracting practices and the establishment of New York City’s Office of Healthcare Accountability. Her work has also supported implementation of key federal transparency policies under the No Surprises Act and Transparency in Coverage regulations. Prior to joining 32BJ Health Fund, she worked with the United Hospital Fund, contributing research and strategic policy guidance for New York State Medicaid initiatives.
